A British influencer caught up in a sex work probe by police has vowed to fight to clear her name as her grandmother insists: “She’s done nothing wrong.”
Bayley Jacob, 22, fled Dubai after being accused of soliciting for sex by posting on a site for wealthy men seeking “friends with benefits”, The Sun reports.
Bayley, who has 85,000 Instagram followers, had told prospective interested parties: “I’m looking for something mutually beneficial and someone who can mentor me.
“I’m not looking for anyone who is stingy and fake so please if you are like that do not message me. I’ve had a few successful arrangements in the past.”
The Seeking Arrangement website is legal in the UK, but it is a crime to even view it in Dubai.
Personally, I think Bayley was rather naive. She may not be a sex worker, but advertising on a website that can often be used by escorts, courtesans and prostitutes could get her in trouble in Dubai. Dubai is very often visited by escorts looking for well-paid clients. Clients and courtesans use every avenue to advertise and meet up. Of course, an escort will not be using her real name.
